Pomologists Joseph Costante (left), Universty of Vermont, and Loren Tukey (right), Pennsylvania State University, pose in a Michigan orchard for a picture during one of the orchard tours held in conjunction with the International Dwarf Fruit Tree Association's Annual Meeting in 1994. Dr. Costante retired to Arizona in 1997, where he is still actively involved in the plant sciences while serving on the staff of Columbia University's Biosphere II. Dr. Tukey left us a legacy of innovative dwarf fruit tree mangament skills with his death in 1998.
